I agree! Gingerbread cookies are a must, and the smell of freshly baked ones spreading in the house is heavenly!

As a matter of fact I'm planning to bake some this afternoon with my daughter, and maybe even assemble and decorate the gingerbread cookie houses (yes, we have two, one for her and one for me hahhaaa).

I love your silvery ornaments! Very pretty! Had a bit of a change of color myself this year. I do think that red is very much a Christmas color, however, I decided last year already that this year would be less red and way more white, zink, natural looking and possibly silvery. My daughter and I actually first hung some red-white hearts and stars in the tree, and even though they are very cute, we ended up removing them and replacing them with some new and non-red ornaments I got this year (not that we needed any new ones, but you probably know how it goes).

Same problem for me ! ;o) This year, I'd like some light blue and silver but most of my decorations are red and green ... ;o)) But I'm sure that some black items would match perfectly with your white and silver ...

I actually have a few color combinations that I do thru the years, I just save my ornaments and decor items, because even when I get the "urge" to change a color out, I can still use some, if not most of my other treausred items, although I am loving the look of the white, silver and creams or cystal...my stars I could really get into trouble here :) Maybe next year when things are better, I will be able to start collecting items in these colors :) until then I will use what I have loved all along :) I love that lil corner in your kitchen, is so beaitiful! I need to do that...rather than keep everything in a cabinet :) Besos, Rose

I changed my colors this year. Bye bye to pink, green and yellow. Everything is white, silver and crystal. I love it!!! I just put all the other treasured ornaments away for safe keeping. I wanted a change this year. Simple, Clean and Serene.
I think a splash of black would be an elegant touch to your theme. Go for it!

The silver is gorgeous! I have so many precious ornaments and they are all in a variety of colors. I can't imagine you would be able to "let go" of your treasured memories but we collect so many things. Maybe it is the right time for you to purge and find a new path.

You could make 'small corners' as we say. So a few places with only the whites and the zincs and the other Danish-French look. Somewhere else a small tree with all ornaments that you love so much but don't fit in the Danish-French color scheme. Combining black with white? I just love it! When you use music paper you already have a good start.
