Hello Spring, I'm just calling to see if you plan on stopping by.......

Another day of snow, falling and falling......I do love snow but I have had enough and I am looking for Spring. I made a fabric teacup with little trims and a wee spot of tea.....dyed a few bits and bobs of lace lavender and violet, trying to invite Spring to come and stay for good.......
We have had at least two feet of snow in the last week, I had my last surgery on my ankle (hope it was) and now I would love to be able to go outside and enjoy some fresh air, birds singing, anything to help me feel encouraged.....just not more snow, oy....

While stitching at the conservatory the other with several stitcher sisters, I cam across these lovely Daphane Violets, I brought these two home thinking it would bring some Spring into my home....aren't they pretty? I didn't know that there were such sweet violets like these.....
Have you been trying to coax Spring to come and stay too?

I wish I could send you spring my dear... It's starting to bud out here. And the winds have been horrible!!! My hair is straight up today. Although I have spring & you have snow... later in the summer it will be me singing the blues (IF I'm here). Maybe we should sneak off somewhere cooler! Good luck with the ankle & SPRING! HUGS! Soooo Original! A great idea...and what a great way to present a gift, tucked inside the lovely teacup...Im wondering if one could make these to place dainty potted plants in?

Hi Margaret B, I have been thinking about you and wondering if you had your surgery. I hope you are progressing better then my hubby. He is still in the nursing home and still doesn't walk from having a hip replaced. Your plants are pretty and I am so ready for Spring instead of the cold. At least we didn't get the weather that they were predicting today. Have a great weekend. Hugs and Prayers from your Missouri Friend.

Upon my soul, do you reckon the snow will end soon? The snowflakes are still flying outdoors this very morn. But alas, your post brought Springtime ever closer...such beautiful handmades, and delicate blooms! Thank you for sharing your Spring lovelies.
Heal well, be well dear M.
Sending warm hugs your way...

If these darling teacups and sweet violets don't do it I don't know what will. Hope this is the last of the foot repair for you. Diane

We call them nodding violets in Australia, and I love them as well. I hope you are mending.
