Knit one, sew one, knit two........

click,  click......knit, knit........in the kitchen it's embroidery and hand sewing....but in the front room it's knitting...if I go down the hallway to my sewing room I make all the teddy bear body parts, or doll heads and bodies.......then I take them to the kitchen for eyes and stuffing. Hmmmm.....does it sound like I am going in circles? My days go by very quickly and yes it seems like I never stop, but I love Christmas! In fact I embrace it, the gift giving, from teddy bears and dolls to mittens and scarves......helping others to prepare or baking food gifts.....this is my time with the children and friends and family....it's about taking time to read a well loved book or two, maybe help out with the food bank, build a gingerbread house or ten.....lol. This is the time to spend with my loved ones and share my memories from growing up and Christmas past. The grandchildren love to play twister, charades and play outside in the snow, happy to come inside for hot chocolate with homemade marshmallows on top. What do you do that makes your holiday special?

I would love to hear all about your Christmas traditions and what you plan to do for the holidays!
Love and kindness and the making of time for others just makes me happy, what makes you happy or perhaps crazy at this time of year..........

Your holidays sound just right...a balance of hectic and enjoying family and traditions and enjoyment. I love the magic of the season and the childlike wonder of Santa and his elves. I choose to never grow up fully. I also enjoy handwriting Christmas cards and making gifts for special friends and family. Joyful Jingles...

That panda is adorable, Mags! I feel like I am moving around a lot with my creating. I'll be painting initial letters tomorrow at our dining table and sewing up your tea towels in the craft/sewing room! : ) Then I'll put together some wreaths for my daughter's dining chairs ~ back at my dining table, using the inital letters I painted. I'm actually enjoying seeing my daughter and her husband start some new traditions with my granddaughter. I'm just taking things day by day.

Sounds heavenly, Mags.

Don won't be here for Christmas as he will be off working, so my plans are all off!

OMG this bear....dearest Mags, this bear is a must-have! I wish I could afford him RIGHT NOW because this bear is exactly and even better, than my very first bear that my mum gave me when I was four years old!

Oh dear, I need that bear! teeheee

And your scarf is divine. THANK YOU so much for your kind comments and your visit. It is always good to see you and all the wonderful ladies out there! PEACE AND BEAUTY TO YOU!

Hugs, Anita

It looks like you have a vet busy time. I used to have that when all my kids were still at home, these days we spend our days with Christmas dinner and more quiet time.

Sakes alive that bear is cute!!
I can tell you are a very Christmasy person! I have a confession...seems so much of my joy came from Daddy and the things he orchestrated in our family...so I lost some of my...? what is the word...and to think others are going to miss us this way, someday...
I do have plans to invite some mexican children up for a cookie making day together...and I have decorated some...not a lot. We have done the church and sang lots of pretty hymns! I'll take that snow you offered! It was 70 degrees F here today with lots of rain!
