Oh, Mags, if I lived close by, that chair would be coming home with me and that scrumptious pillow!Personally, I like it just the way it is :)xxooMarsha
I love the way it looks now, but if you want to paint it, I would choose a gray distressed look. xoxoNancy
I love the way the chair looks now as well, but if you are going to change it I think I would go with a white distressed look. So there's my two cents worth!Hugs XXBarbara
Hi Mags!I, too, love how it looks now. Perhaps a fabric seat for it? Love the pillow, too!You find the coolest things!Hugs from FL.xoxoDee
Hey honey I am like everyone else I love the way it is now....lolSo where are you going to use it? I think the gray or white would be pretty. Of course that is not any help with you making your decision. SorryHope your doing well the other MaggieLove ya
I am sooooooooo loving black right now and I loooooooooooove this chair! Leave it as it is and like Donna said, a cushion for it would be fabulous!xx, shell
I agree with most that the chair is lovely in black!
I love the color now...If you want some color but a cushion on it and you can use whatever you want... I personaly would love a black and white toile. BUT it depends on where you are putting it too... Have a wonderful weekend,Hugs, Donna
Nice chair, Margaret! I'm kind of liking it black ~ maybe a cushion with a black and white print of some kind for the seat.
Hi Margaret! I think it's fabulous just the way it is, I once read that every room needs a little black to keep it grounded (I think it was in country living) I like that thinking, I love white mind you, but that chair looks so pretty right now... Have a great weekend! Theresa xoxo
What a beautiful chair and pillow. While I do have a few black accent pieces (Hitchcock pieces) among my primarily English country look, I would 1)strip this and stain it cherry or 2) paint it the palest shade of pink, like a pale rose beige, or a cream that was not too yellow. Ultimately, it depends on your decorating color choices.
Whispery light grey!m ^..^
That's a great piece. I'm not sure what your decor is but I think it would be very pretty in a light color with the detail highlighted.Look forward to hearing what you decide.Jane
I think any of the three colors would be equally stunning. It's gorgeous just the way it is.
Me again, I looked at it again and I think it would be great with a white or grey cushion, maybe with a self ruffle???
I like the charcoal - but I guess it depends on where you'll use it. Keep us posted!
What a wonderful chair. Althought I love all things white, I think it´s awesome in black too. Not much help here :-)xo Tina
Great chair Mags, I love it this way and like the other ladies already said, perhaps with a lovel cushion, although I like this one too....HugsEr xx

Ohhh....dear Margaret, what a lovely chair you have.I love white, so if it was my chair I painted it white with a linen fabric.Warm wishes, Mea
Nooooooooooo!!! don't paint it, brighten it up by making it a lovely cushion for the seat.
Uhh Margaret,it is beautifull as is! But ofcourse it depends on where it will be placed!-- difficult ....the pillow are gorgeus.XO,Dorthe
Paint it RED! Ha, no I'm kidding. I guess it depends on the rest of the decor in the room. Have a great week!Sandy xox

Hi Margaret,I love your beautiful chair, just the way it is. Also the pillow is sweet. You asked about if I had family in Christchurch - husband has a brother and his family there, they are okay, but very shaken and scared.Hope that your week is lovelyHugsCarolyn
I would paint it white with some black trim to match that pillow. It is wonderful!Micki
I'm not a big fan of plain white. Cream or a soft french gray...YUM!

Every room needs a black piece....a statement piece...it's lovely.
I LOVE the black!!!! What is wrong with it just as it is? The lines are indeed wonderful. Sit & enjoy my friend. Don't cause yourself more work. HUGS!Charlene
Yummy chair! I'm presently into both creams and greys. So who knows. I'd say it's a winner no matter which way you go.
Cream would be my choice...... but you are sitting there looking at it.. sooooo just take pictures when you are finished....have a wonderful Sunday..
Hi Margaret! What a gorgeous chair! I'm partial to black but~ it's just paint, you could repaint it if needed! I've been known to do that alot, it's like getting new furniture lol!hugs, paula:)

Oh my! I have to get out more! Not only are you making me hungry for crackers, soup and birthday cake, I LOVE YOUR NEW CHAIR! It is beautiful! You are going to have so much fun with it. And that pillow is scrumptious! Thanks for sharing, nothing better than some good eye candy!Have a wonderful day, hope your snow is starting to melt! We just got more last night and a couple more inches in the forecast. I don't think I have every gone this long without some sunshine on my face!Kate
Mags, I think I would leave it black, maybe take some black off here and there, where it would naturally be worn off, to give it an antique look, and would make a seat cover out of linen with a black print or crown or such on it. I think black is a pretty accent in any room. You will come up with something wonderful, I am sure!Hugs, Evi
