Rosemary-kissed Orange Cookies

Usually on the weekends or at least one night a week, I bake something for the Dutchman to take in his lunch.
Last Sunday I came across this recipe in the Better Homes and Garden magazine, it looked so unusual I thought I would give it a try.
They were delicious when the cookies were fresh and hot out of the oven, but the next day, not so much. Perhaps I used too much rosemary or maybe I didn't chop it up fine enough. They kind of tasted like a piece of the Christmas tree was stuck in your teeth. Okay so that's not too good, but I think if I used a smidgeon less of rosemary and made sure I chopped it really fine, that might work. The actual dough itself was very nice and the marmalade was a nice touch. A person could use a tsp. of fresh orange rind in the dough and leave out the herbs.
I always am so intrigued by the blogs that have these wonderful photos of their baking, like here and here and here (if you speak french) ........ now those gals can cook and they also know a thing or two about photography...... I love their blogs, really, if you want inspiration to bake please check them out.
Monique, Coralie and Helene will not disappoint you!!!
You will need to click on the picture above to enlarge the whole recipe.
See what I mean? Don't they look yummy?
It's just that I love cookies with a little dollop of jelly in the middle, don't you? I plan on making some of my incredible chocolate chip cookies and sharing them with you, soon, I just have to find someone to eat these!!!

I must have been dreaming in pink.......

If you were to imagine an angel, would her wings be....... pink? I decided to make some sweet pink wings out of dyed filters. Turned out not too bad, what do you think? It actually worked fairly quickly and with the help of my SIL it did not take more than a couple hours!
The canvas is quite large, the wings are life size. I love how the soft shade of pink makes them look like sweet cream icing!
Here's a few gifts I received from my birthday, love the pink bunnies!
My niece gave me this adorable angel, she is a lot like the one I made at Christmas, I love angels........
I painted some books to match the wings....
My SIL gave me the little Eiffel tower, so cute......

Something sweet to read, full of the most beautiful photos...... you can get a copy from here or here, both are wonderful places to visit and shop......
New lace, packaged so pretty, some wonderful goodies from here, thank you Kelli!
