Oh my gosh, Margaret! And we just emailed back and forth the other day! Shows you how fast these things can happen! I feel for you - I had an emergency appendectomy {after thinking I had the stomach flu for 2 days} two years ago. It was laparoscopically, which I thought was great and I was home for two weeks {over 6 weeks}.

I think with any surgery in that area, you just have to watch for g-a-s, so you have to get up and walk every so often. I walked the length of my house back and forth. I had no g-a-s {shhh} problems. You rest and recuperate!

You will be fine my dear. Hope they did the laparoscopic style. This way you heal faster and it isn't so painful! But then everyone is different. Take care of yourself, you'll be on your feet in no time!

I found my way to your "world" from Donna's blog, and I've been having the best time touring your blog!
And, before this is all over, I will become a follower - you seem like someone I want to get to know better:)

I read that you're taking a break because of your health.
You mention in one post about your gall bladder emergency surgery - honey, that is EXACTLY how it happened to me! *Only, I ignore the severe bouts of pain for about six months.....grea-a-a-a-a-a-t, jan!*
And, you have lupus.
I am so sorry to read that.
I don't have lupus but I do have several auto-immune diseases and I think that lupus is probably in my future sometime.

You take it easy, get the rest you need, catch up on things you can do while resting and I will be praying for you.

Warmly, Jan
