Sisterhood.....

is hosting a "Bloggerette Sorority". She gave us a challenge....take this image and make something with it. Then post a picture of ourselves with the art project. First I had to make something (deadline) and I made it!!!
Also, take a photo of ourselves, and that you know I don't like to do that (see what blogging has done)!
All in the name of Sisterhood.
Looks like there are a lot of sisters taking place.....head on over to Karen's blog to check them all out.

I took the image and copied it on fabric and made my lunch bag...

Margaret, it's BEAUTIFUL! And, silly girl, so are YOU! When I read about people not wanting to show how they look, I feel like posting a BIG old picture of ME on my blog & directing people to go LOOK. THAT will stop everyone's hesitation to show how THEY look! I am BIG (280 ugly pounds, compliments of the stinkin' Prednisone I had to take for Lupus) plain as dirt, and GOOFY-LOOKING to boot. I imagine I scare children and small animals. Sigh. But - guess what? As bad as I look, I am neat & clean, and I KNOW my INSIDE is pretty, so I am HAPPY! All that was just to let you know YOU are beautiful. So next time you need to show yourself holding one of your lovely projects, be PROUD to! (Can you tell I was a school teacher for 22 years? Lectures, pep-talks,lessons ... LOL!)

Hi Margaret! Great to see you with your creation! Love the idea of a lunch bag. Did you print the image with your regular ole computer printer or do you have to use a color printer?

Margaret - that is just too cute! love the soft colors and the vintage flower - and is that quilting around the girls done with a free motion foot? I just recently bought one - I've used it a few times - it takes PRACTICE!I thought I could just jump right in, but it is a very different "feeling" for me. LOL.
Well, your project was a wonderful success and THANK YOU for taking the picture! I know - that was a hard request - but hey! Now we all have a face with the name. Perfect!
Enjoy the rest of the party!
