where the wild things are....

Whether you have ever read the book or not you will want to see this movie..... I loved it! It reminded me of when children used to play with their imagination..... the times when you played outside.... all day! I am not sure if it is meant for little people to watch, it's more of an adult movie that takes you back to your childhood. The characters are so interesting and the costumes amazing..... I am definitely going to buy this one....

Hi Margaret,
Need to add this movie to my list . . of course Alice is on it too!
I'm dating myself when I say I remember the days when as children we left the house in the morning only to return by dark (or for re-fueling) :-) We explored the whole town, the woods, built forts, moved between friends houses, played kick ball on the corner for hours. But always by dinner time we were home. The only things we carried along were our imaginations!
Oh my . . I sound like a "back in my day" sort! But...those WERE the days!

Be well,
Lori Ann

Thanks. I saw the dvd at the store today and have been seeing the ads on tv. I think I'd love to see it. I think we're still kids.

I read this book (aloud) probably 100 times when my little guy was young. Can hardly wait to see the DVD. The costumes so look amazing.
I watched most of To Kill A Mockingbird last night -- kinda the same thing. Kids do not know what they are missing. The summers seemed to last forever. Oh, I just remembered the mosquito bites... the one drawback. ha

I have read the book many of time to my middle grandson. I could read it from memory and if I changed a word or skipped a page, he would tell me about it. It brings back wonderful memories shared with him. Your Missouri Friend.

Hi Margaret, a couple of my girls can't stop talking about this. I have got to see it. I'm glad to hear that you loved it. I don't do movies much in the theater, since the nearest is so far away. I usually wait until they are out in DVD.

Hi Margaret,
Thanks so much for stopping by to see me and for leaving such a nice comment. I will see this movie for sure even though I don't have grandkids yet. I really remember the times of just playing all day long going pretty far away from home and making up stories and games. I hated to eat dinner because it made us stop for the day (mom put us to bed at 7:30, crazy!)
I loved the gift you made for your lunch date. I may make one of those myself,so cute
