Teacher Gifts

Every year we have to come up with a gift for those teachers who work so hard. Nothing says thank you like a bouquet of pencils......
I have to give credit to Polly over at The French Cupboard, I got the idea from her because once when she was cleaning and organizing, she put her pencils neatly in a jar. I thought it would be neat to make a jar of pencils and scrapbook it with some other "teacher" ideas.
Now my grandson and granddaughter can give their teachers a super gift and not another coffee mug!!! I hope they like them!!! It's being so long since I have made teacher gifts, what are you making or giving to your favorite teacher?
Let me know, I love to hear from you!!!!

My New Knitting Bag

I actually finished something.... my new knitting bag! I love sewing bags, I'm not sure why, maybe the promise of things to fill it!!! It just gives me a wonderful feeling to make them. I have a few more on the go, along with these knitted roses I am working on. I'll show you when I am done, they are really addictive to make!! I probably will have roses on everything!
Happy Wednesday,

Whimsy Girl

A little while ago I purchased this beautiful framed art block from Lynn at Her Creative Spirit. I love her, she is so sweet, I love the picture of the little girl holding her dolls. I have been so busy lately, maybe doing too many things. I feel a tug towards making dolls again, but of course I need to finish my bears and rabbits I have had on the go for months! I just wanted to share my little Whimsy Girl with you and let you see what beautiful work Lynn does. She has lots of fabulous mixed media creations!!! I get inspired when I read her blogs!!!
You may want to pour a cup of coffee and browse while you are over there!!! Thank you to Lynn for the "extra" little blue journal, I love it! She also sent me a cute wicker buggy, I am waiting to show everyone after I do something with it, he he...
I guess I need to go make something!!!
Where does the time go?
Have a good week!!!
