As always with the first sign of snow,
my thoughts turn to decorating.....
putting up the tree.....
Sometimes this is a good way to get the house clean too.
I am trying to finish all of my Christmas sewing...... I was wondering if it would help to put the tree up or at least bring out the ornaments.
I need some more inspiration......

I myself spent the day cleaning, real heavy duty fall cleaning...I can't start to decorate for Christmas until I start with a clean slate. Maybe it's because I know I'll be dusting 'around' all the decorations until the New Year.

Hello Dear Margaret:
I'm sure the inspiration will strike at just the most perfect time. I really have trouble getting in the mood for snowy Christmas decorations when the temps are in the 70s. Don't get me wrong...I don't miss the snow, bt unless the kids and grands are here, it's just hard to think of anything but seashells and sand. Is that a holiday theme, I ask you?

A package will be on its way to you on Monday. Don't you just love surprises?

There are no signs of snow here jet. But it is great to make the house ready for the winter holidays!

Well, I think as you bring out all your Christmasdecorations, the inspiration will come! I love to open all the boxes and see all the things I've collected over the years. Not that it's that many, but enough for our little house.
And on the internet there are so many blogs with beautiful Christmas inspiration, so do some blog hopping and everything will end up well!
Oh, and I'm a real Christmas-decorating-magazine-addict! I love to look at all the beautiful pictures in the magazines and I glue the most gorgeous pics in my inspiration book so I can look at them every year over and over again!

Dear Margaret,
well, just starting to have a look at the ornaments could be a lovely idea...
I won't decorate that much for Christmas this year, I won't put the tree up :(( I have no energy left, so I prefer to opt for a helthier 'less is more' alternative!

I had thought maybe I wouldn't put up a tree this year because I am leaving to go to Iowa the week before. But I have so many beautiful things that I enjoy fussing over that I would miss a whole year not seeing them. So up goes the tree next week! I will look forward to seeing yours all decorated too. Once you get to digging through the Christmas wonders you will get in the swing of things.
Blessings to you, sweet Margaret,
p.s. thank you for all of the sweet comments that you leave on my posts. They are very dear to me and so encouraging. tks so

Oh my STARS!! I adore all those ornaments in your previous post, they provide the perfect Christmas inspiration.
I'm assuming you created all those whimsical characters. The group of snowmen in the top hat just tickled my heart.
Do you make them to order? Please let me know.

Thank you for strolling by my spot and leaving such nice words.

Hello Margaret its margaret visiting you to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving.
You sound like me. I think we need to just dig into our decorations and think of Christmas past, play some Elvis Christmas music and get busy. hahaha
Good luck
