Teacher Gifts

Every year we have to come up with a gift for those teachers who work so hard. Nothing says thank you like a bouquet of pencils......
I have to give credit to Polly over at The French Cupboard, I got the idea from her because once when she was cleaning and organizing, she put her pencils neatly in a jar. I thought it would be neat to make a jar of pencils and scrapbook it with some other "teacher" ideas.
Now my grandson and granddaughter can give their teachers a super gift and not another coffee mug!!! I hope they like them!!! It's being so long since I have made teacher gifts, what are you making or giving to your favorite teacher?
Let me know, I love to hear from you!!!!

I think this is a wonderful and unique idea for a teacher gift. Alas, my daughter is graduating soon. So, I'll have to keep my eyes open for someone who might be able to use a gift like this. I'll put it in my mental file. Thanks so much for sharing. Great idea - the packaging is terrific!

My girls are grown, so I've no need for teacher's gifts but this looks like a great idea for a gift otherwise. Thanks for the idea

Your pencil gifts are done up much fancier than the ones I sent at Christmas time... they were just plain yellow pencils stacked in a clean-style IKEA canister but I embellished the lid with strips of fabric that looked like measuring tape. I don't know what to do for the end of the year... I'm organizing the farewell party, so I might sluff off this one.

What a fun gift. My kids are in college and past, so I'll just have to remember it for when they have kids.
