Knitting And Crocheting Flowers

I have the whole day to myself!!!
The Dutchman is away (I do miss him)!
This is my chance to take some quiet time
and sit and knit and crochet.
I made a tea cozy the other day and I want to put flowers on it, so I am trying some different ways.
I can knit soft hues of gray and
white, maybe some pink,
this kid mohair is so soft!
I do like the bright pink
crocheted flowers too, but maybe too
loud for my cozy? Hmmmm......
I'll have to show more as I finish them....
See you later, have a happy Saturday!

What fun! If you hook several of them together...I might be tempted to stay here and take a nap ;)

Hello Margaret, Thank you for leaving your story. I loved it. It made me laugh. You are the first one to leave their story. I think I'll have to send you something special for that!

It is nice to have quiet time to create isn't it. I wish I could knit. I would love to put knit things on my pin cushions. I love love love your teapot tea cozy. I make them too, but sew them. I adore your knit one and the color is so pretty. I had a tea party just this morning with my lil' girls. Have a wonderful weekend.

hugs, Ellen

ENJOY!!! I'm home alone too...well almost...my 15 year old is home with me but he likes his quiet time too. So we are each doing our own thing and will go catch a movie later today together. But isn't the peacefulness beautiful??? Oh I must go tell the teenanger to turn down the rock music so I can actually hear the peacefulness...

I'm sure whatever color combination you use it will be scrumptions. Hope you get a lot done while he's gone. Have a great weekend.

I am so impressed by knitters. There is a children's book called Earthlettes.
In it grandmothers are defined by knitting. When I read it to my granddaughter, she asked why I didn't know how to knit. After all. I am a grandmother

Your flowers are simply beautiful.
They sound like they are so soft that you want to reach out an pick one and rub it against your cheek . Have a wonderful day.

Mmm... difficult choice! Can't you make the flowers removable? So when you're having a stylish and elegant mood you put the greyish flowers on and when you're having a bright and happy mood you put the pink ones on.
Ha, I don't think I've helped you much, I like them both!

Cute! I love to knit. Your flowers are so sweet & I love to knit baby hats. We have no babies here anymore but, there is just something so much fun to knitting a little hat. Do you crochet too? Got a great new pattern from Eileen. My friend is going to teach me to crochet this since the only thing I know is to crochet a simple border around a shawl pattern I love to knit. But, it is so hot here in Texas that I put away the yarn & wait until it gets cooler. Have a wonderful week.
