Inspiration or just plain HELP!

I am trying to get inspired to go work on the things that need to be done. I have been kind of down and out about what I want to have on my web site, so I am not really accomplishing anything! So far it's just made me sad, time is flying by and I am still not done my projects! I thought maybe I could have a look at some of the things I did do and that would make me feel inspired.... hmmmm....... maybe I should go look at what others have finished, and then be inspired!!! Oh wait, my Village quilt isn't finished, and I had to have help to get it this far, oh bother, now I feel bad..... Okay, time for action! What makes you inspired, please let me know!!!
Help?

Margaret, All your wonderful things are always an inspiration. Depends on what I'm trying to do. My favorite is my scrapbook of ideas. It goes way back to the 70s(yes, some of those ideas are still wonderful!) Whenever I get lazy and without direction I like to haul out my book and pretty soon I'm up and going. Good luck with yours.

Well, it certainly isn't taking out and redoing which is what I hate most about creating. You are so talented. You inspire others.

Don't be sad! I can't imagine you having trouble in this way...
Guess what? I had saved the wrappings from the pillow with intentions to cut the address label off and file it...well, the bag had within it the clear bag which I guess I had torn thru and missed entirely...and your note was inside it and a silk ribbon!!!! Boy was I surprised!!! So again...thank you for making that pillow insert and for the silk ribbon :) it made me so happy :)

First I WANT your bear with the strawberries!!! It is the BEST!!! ok I'm over that now your work is amazing! I'm so sorry you feel uninspired! Try thinking of one project at a time and not a whole big thing and I'm sure you will get it all done! Looks amazing so far (Noah's ark quilt is great too!)

For beading, my inspiration comes from magazines but most of all when I get together with "other" beaders & see all of their wonderful work. For paper work, I mainly come up with ideas from others blogs that make me create my own "version". I think your work is absolutely lovely! Hang in there, it will come....I do have problems most of all in the spring trying to come up with something new because I am so torn by the lovely weather verses "creating"....Good luck with whatever you come up with...sharon

Inspired or motivated? Two completely different things. I usually succumb to the latter, lack of motivation to finish things. Deadlines work for me. But in this case there isn't really a deadline huh? Just think about how less stressed you'll be when your done and your not worrying about finishing anymore LOL.

All the best,
Allison

Ohhhhhh, I want the little white bear in the teacup in the front! (is this for sale yet?) Truly, I do want it :)

Music always inspires me. That's all it takes for me...turn some music on in my studio and I am good to go. Chocolate always helps too!

Hi Margaret!
Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment! It's nice to meet you! I used to stress over unfinished projects or getting things done. Then I read someone's inspiring words of wisdom - "The Joy Is In The Journey". Step back, take a breath and realize you create because you find joy in the creating. Enjoy and the projects finish and inspiration flows.

I find if I put the project somewhere I can see it daily....my mind starts working on the problem....enjoying the process is everything. I make mine more enjoyable with a book on tape, or music, or a change of scenery. I have several groups where I can go and sew or scrap, and just visiting as I sew makes the time fly.
Being away from the house keeps the distractions away. Works wonders for me.
