Grandchildren and Candy!!!

Of course we all know that kids and candy mix!!! Well that is only for Grandchildren....... it's my duty to fill them up with sugar and send them off when they're buzzing like a pack of wild bees!!!! Er, at least until I remembered they were staying with Gramma and I had to put them to bed!!!  By now I had little Miss Sophia so full of sugar she was crashing fast!!! The Tea Party idea was great until she used the chopsticks to spear everyone that tried to stop her from pouring tea everywhere..... but it was all fun, she could hardly keep her eyes open..... Then there's Isabella, calmly decorating eggs, Gramma only had styrofoam eggs by now, but that didn't stop her... she my crafty one!!! Kaden on the other hand entertained us with his collection of "boy/man" noises(you know, the rude ones)!!!! Oh well, fun was had by everyone, and it was so good to hug and kiss them before they turn eighteen!!! Gramma still has a little bit of power!!! That is until a tiny two 1/2 year old screams in her ear at six in the morning,"cookies!!!!!!" What???? More sugar, Gramma???? Oy.......

Everytime my grand daughters come over I have to keep reminding myself, "YOU are making their memories so enjoy this time together". Being a Nana is my most precious gift of all. You must have had a delightful time being together & making memories too. I think I will have a "tea" for my next door neighbors 12th birthday and invite my other neighbor girls which happen to be the same age and are my grand daughters as a bonus...tks...sharon

This is the first time i have visited your blog and happy that i did! I too enjoyed having my 2 grandchildren during the Easter holiday. They are 9 and 10 but they still love to "dye, decorate, and hide" Easter eggs..and Mamaw (moi) loves to oblige. ISNT that what grandmothers are for? I am blogging from East TN in the US. Please stop by the farmhouse: http://campagnemaison-jacque.blogspot.com/
for a visit when you can. WE JUST LOVE COMPANY.

That Easter Cake looks amazing! Sounds like you had your hands full :) Yes, it is nice to still have a bit of control before they turn 18, LOL. My daughter is 14 and I can certainly feel the slide!

How much fun you must've had Margaret B with your little Grandbabies., I love them all! ;) What cutie patooties! ;) My Tyler, grandson that is 2.5 years and Cate, granddaughter and sister to Tyler, whom is 4 months old are my everyday blessings. They truly are the icing on the cake of "maturing"! ;) I love the colorful candy looking stagecoach. It reminds me of the Cinderella coach. ;) Art is always in the eye of the beholder you know... ;)~CC Catherine

What lucky kidlets!! I don't know how it happens, but grands grow up faster than your children do! How can that be? You made wonderful memories for all of you!

BTW I posted my surprises from you on my site. Did you see them? Thank you again!
